Nigerian Army Raids Katsina, Kills Over 80 Bandits, Destroys Motorcycles

The Nigerian Army has announced the killing of over 80 bandits and the destruction of 45 motorcycles in a raid on Gidan Kare village, Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The military ambushed the bandits on Saturday, 15 June 2024, following reports of an attack by around 100 bandits on a village near Faskari, about five kilometres from Gidan Kare.
The bandits had been setting houses ablaze before the military's counterattack, which resulted in the death of more than 80 bandits and the destruction of 45 motorcycles. The incident was confirmed by the military spokesperson, Mr. Edward Gabkwet.
